Liz Carrasquel

Born in Venezuela, Liz Carrasquel has cultivated a profound connection with yoga since discovering Ashtanga as a teenager. Her transformative journey commenced with her first Mysore class, led by the esteemed Tim Miller in California, a pivotal experience that beckoned her into over two decades of dedicated practice. Liz's educational odyssey in yoga has been enriched by the guidance of globally celebrated mentors, including Tim Miller, Lino Miele, and Sharath Jois, with whom she was privileged to study directly in Mysore, India, starting in 2011. Her deep commitment and passion were recognised in 2016, when she was formally authorised by Sharath Jois.

Liz's exploration of the spiritual facets of yoga extends beyond physical practice. She immersed herself in yoga philosophy, TM meditation, and chanting under the tutelage of Jayashree and Narasimhan. Since 2010, meditation has been an essential component of her spiritual journey, beginning with classical Vipassana meditation in Dharamshala.

In her relentless pursuit to deepen her understanding of the human spirit, Liz began studying transgenerational trauma therapy in early 2024 with specialists Maria Julia Godoy and Pablo Galeto. This endeavour not only underscores her dedication to personal growth but also reflects her commitment to understanding the complex interplay of life experiences and emotional well-being.

Liz is a world-renowned teacher, renowned for her intuitive and loving approach to teaching. She conducts programs globally, leveraging yoga as a profound tool for healing, growth, and self-realisation. Her sessions are a sanctuary where openness and empathy prevail, providing a nurturing space for students to explore their inner landscapes and embark on transformative journeys toward self-discovery.

Rooted in deep empathy, Liz's teaching is a reflection of her journey: passionate, intuitive, and always anchored in the love of sharing the transformative power of yoga.
